The water coming from the high-pressure pump (40\u201345 bar \/ 580\u2013650 psi) passes through the conical (Venturi) chamber inside the nozzle, where the narrowing structure increases its velocity and decreases its pressure.<\/p><p><br \/>This sudden physical change causes the water to break into micron-sized droplets (5\u201350 microns).
